King of the Mountain: Timothy Sweeney
For the 5th year of 5 possible years, Timothy Sweeney was at 1st place on the Eagle Rating. In 2005 he finished one game, a game called “One”, and he, naturally, soloed. It was the 4th most valuable solo ever at the site, giving him 11.50 EPs. Timothy Sweeney increased his rating from 64.29 to 69.79 EPs. In 2004 it was “only” 24 EPs down from Timothy to 2nd place. In 2005 that gap increased to a stunning 37 EPs. Timothy Sweeney had 5 solos and 5 draws in his last 10 games. Totally, he had 7 solos and 6 draws in 13 games. Timothy had 6 Player of the Month-awards at the end of 2005… That man is untouchable.
At 2nd place we find Jeff Grzybowsky with 32.58 EPs. He had 2 solos and 5 draws in his last 10 games. Totally, he had 4 solos and 12 draws in 28 games at the site. Jeff climbed from 3rd to 2nd place in 2005. Lars Topholm climbed from 8th to 3rd place. He had 2 solos and 4 draws in his last 10 games. Guy Fraser-Sampson stayed at 4th place. Patrick D`Hyon fell from 2nd to 5th place. Brian Koon climbed from 21st to 6th place in 2005, while Karl Georg Øhrn climbed from 10th to 7th place. Duncan Proffitt and Anders Granås Kjøstvedt both had a very good year and were at 8th and 9th place at the end of 2005. Eduard van Dijk climbed from 18th to 10th place. Kester Bearne fell from 5th to 17th place in 2005. Ken Marten fell from 6th to 1st Division.
Runner of the Year: Duncan Proffitt
The award is given to the player that gets most points in a year. Earlier, Tim Sweeney had got three Runner of the Year-awards and Patrick D`Hyon one award. In 2005 Duncan Proffitt got more than 25 EPs so he got the award for his incredible good results. He had 2 solos and 5 draws in his last 10 games. At 2nd place we find Brian Koon, who got almost 20 EPs in 2005. Lars Topholm got 3rd place for the second year in a row. Jim O`Neal and Anders Granås Kjøstvedt were close behind the top 3 in 2005.
Most Valuable Victory: Anders Granås Kjøstvedt
There were several great soloes in 2005. The most valuable solo was Anders Granås Kjøstvedt`s solo in the game Queen of the Reich with 12.50 EPs. This was the 2nd most valuable solo at Dip2000 so far. The Norwegian was at 9th place in Premier League at the end of 2005. He had a very good year, and he had 1 solo and 7 draws in his last 10 games.
Dip2000 Open Tournament
In 2005 the third official tournament was played, but it hadn`t finished at the end of 2005. So the third tournament will get comments here at the end of 2006 instead.
Rookie of the Year: Thomas Maarup
Thomas Maarup finished his first game with a solo in January 2005. He got 6.00 EPs for his solo in Appomattox. He hadn`t finished any more games during 2005. A well deserved Rookie of the Year-award to Thomas Maarup.

Some statistics for games finished in 2005
87 games finished in 2005. 117 games finished in 2004, 111 games finished in 2003 and 98 games finished in 2002. The reason why fewer games finished in 2005 was probably the fact that very few games started the last months of 2004 while the Administrator created a new system for Waiting lists etc.

Below is the ranking for the 7 nations. 100 points is average, that is, a country with 100 points has 1/7-part of all Eagle Points given. 140 means 40 pct. more than average, and 75 means 25 pct. below average.

France was the only very good country in 2005, something that has closed the gap between Russia and France when looking at all games for all years (se the comments-page for that list). In 2005 Austria was also above average. No country was especially weak in 2005.
Anarchies
There were 0.74 dropouts pr. game in 2005. This was the lowest amount of dropouts so far at the site, beeting the previous record from 2004 with 0.17 less anarchies per game. That is a clear signal that the level of play at the site are getting better and better.
